Seems a little fishy to me.
Furthermore, adding 1 to the body count isn't going to end the cycle of violence. All they have done is created a martyr. You can be certain that his flunkies will kill at least two of ours in retaliation.
On top of that, from a nationalist perspective, the USA has lost its best casus belli. Americans would support all kinds of dumb bullshit in the name of killing Bin Laden.
Now what? We're not any safer but we are sure alot poorer, more despised, and in need of a new common enemy.
I see no good in any of this....Christian nation my ass..
Nah, the ocean thing makes sense. If they buried him on land people could visit his grave, and that would add to the whole martyr thing. In the ocean it goes. They have photos.
But I also agree that all the celebrating is ridiculous. It's like we just won a sports game or something. People should be quietly reflecting on peace and war instead. It's nonsense to celebrate a killing.
Christ it took us 10 years to find the guy, we cant fucking have a hoot when we finally got-er-dun!
I feel like waving the god damn American flag and running in the streets! I just got to go to Walmart to buy one.
i'd be all for the celebrating if it didn't take 10 years to find him. seriously, that makes us look like a bunch of idiots, not glorious victors. he wasn't even in a cave, he was hanging out in some resort town. and who really won this? it took us 10 years, two wars in the wrong countries, and trillions of dollars which helped to put our country into a recession as well as countless lives. he was found living in a mansion. umm...
i get the whole dumping him in the ocean thing to not give them a spot to worship at, except if we told them where in the ocean we dumped him they would just use that spot to worship, or worship the whole fucking ocean. religion is crazy like that.
Ocean worship, you say?
Gentleman, i think Matt just had a million dollar idea.
it would be awesome if his body washed up on shore someday. i wouldn't be surprised if they went diving to try and find it too.
we should worship the oceans, we know more about outer space than we do about the largest bodies of water on this planet. they are far more integral to life than most understand and when we melt all the ice caps we're going to have to evolve back into fish to survive. Waterworld will happen sooner or later.
