don't swear at your kids

is this one right up there with "garbage goes in the garbage can"?

yesterday morning while brushing my teeth, i over hear some yelling outside, not unusual in this neighborhood but still a little early for this type of verbal confrontation.  it was the new family next door to me. the mother was yelling at the kids to get ready and get in the car. all normal so far. but then i think one of the kids punched the other and one started crying. OK so you discipline the kids right? maybe spank them or take away desert, what ever it is, its not verbally abusing your kid with words i wouldn't use around a pirate.  this lady ripped into the poor kid and just started swearing at him. "what the fuck do you think you're doing you piece of shit, don't hit your fucking brother like that!" she called him a loser too. it was harsh. my parents have sweared at me before (usually justified) but i was older and deserving. these are like 3rd graders.

is it really that hard not to swear at your kids?
