its back. kicked off at 6:00 am this morning in japan. anyone else wake up for it? no i didn't either, mostly because its the red soxs. i have done this many times in years past. i remember setting my alarm in college for 3:47am one morning to witness the cubs play in japan. totally worth it. how many people here would actually say they follow baseball? i read a ton and watch as many games as i can. i've learned a lot about the statistical side of the game and what the numbers can show you. the baseballprospectus.com site i read is full of cutting edge information about baseball. thier Pecota projections are tops in the business proving to be the most accurate. i'd rather not write the massive write ups i do each year but i'm more interested in if anyone here even wants to talk baseball. a quick prediction in the AL east: sox, yanks, rays, jays, O's that order. yanks get the WC. detroit wins the central and anaheim walks comfortably in first from line to line. i just think the sox will have better pitching. the yanks young kids are just that, young. its too much to expect instant stardom from them.
you know i love baseball as well, so i'm good with that.
i didn't wake up for the beginning of the game, but i was sure tracking it. followed the end of it at work on gamecast. good ending, would've been cool to watch.
with the ncaa tourney, opening day, and the masters in 2 weeks it's the best sports time of the year!
