Although i'm not fully convinced that they were not just members in disguise, i still took the liberty of changing that option. They brought no value to the blogs. Actually, I would argue that they brought the opposite of value. They brought non-value. Chump, i hope you are ok with this since i also took the liberty a while back as making myself an administrator to the blog...haha.
nice. i second this move. anonymous comments are useless. i just hope everyone has (or remembers) their valid login info (i'm looking at you here, tim). haha
seeing as how i didn't notice... i can't really complain. i would like to allow the anonymous comments, i know who leaves most of them and i'm alright with it. its not a really bad idea and it does keep us honest. plus, it allows new people to see this place. i know wwe don't have a ton of outside readers but we do have a few, and a handful of people who check this thing randomly. plus, i like arguing with differing opinions. but thats my two cents
Haha, good discussion! I think that was Tim's first post over 20 words. Hey, I wasn't upset by the grammar comment and it was just a catalyst for my dramatic action. In fact, if one of you had actually signed it, i would think its sarcastically funny...because i know you. I do, however, still feel that most anonymous comments on this site have been detrimental toward our kinship. And thats why this site was created...to stay close. So if you have a problem with what someone said you should put your name behind the response. The anonymity facilitates unneeded tension and irresponsibility in our communication, which i still feel is a negative response we could do without.
if you want to get technical, this site started as an extension of my drunken late night rant mass emails from college. i wanted to stop using email after i accidentally sent a very bad rant to a parent of a student in our class.
i agree about the negative responses, but aren't we supposed to learn from that and not continue with it?
