Yes indeed. Perhaps study abroad should be mandatory, well if anyone could afford college anymore. Tuition at PSU is twice what it was when I was a freshman this year.

Where's Africa?!

Hey elitist asshole:

Go fuck yourself.

The rest of us can't study a broad like you could.

We had to work, daddy won't cover us like he did for you.

Go suck a dick.

study a broad, or study abroad? it doesn't take money to study a broad, just a set of functioning eyes.

By Blogger josh, at Sunday, January 27, 2008 11:50:00 AM

i think what they are referring to is that we all go into debit to achieve higher education. and yes i am an elitist asshole. i'm reminded of that everytime i leave the oh so awesome northeast. my recent trips to SC may not be the best measure of america, but when us silly northerners ask for something as little and simple as a little work from our southern counterparts, we're met with blank stares and utter confusion. fuck the south. sorry crazy tangent.

any way, i was actually looking for something in this comment like a critical typo to undermine the posters credibility, but alas, i don't know the difference between "abroad" and "a broad" either. and i even checked the spelling of "elitist".

the picture is dead on about what americans think of the rest of the world. and if you asked around, people wouldn't know where africa is.

By Blogger Supreme Monkey Overlord, at Sunday, January 27, 2008 12:04:00 PM

oh i completely agree...once you leave the northeast, this country is mostly just one big, stupid, ignorant, uneducated place.

By Blogger josh, at Sunday, January 27, 2008 6:22:00 PM

Yes, i would agree with this map, in theory.

Each time i go out to eat someplace interesting, i must explain the geological position, such as Nepalese which i recently enjoyed.

I have a lot more to say on this matter, but i forget at the moment.

Have i talked about my Lemming Theory of Mankind? At least 60%, but probably more like 80% of people are Lemmings(Followers) so basically whatever is going on around them, they are in. This is a built in Homo Sapien Reaction, similar to the actions of birds or bison. Honestly its true around the world, it just seems like other countries are more open, or more whatever, but really, they just have a larger base of whatever your looking for. Of course in time, culture and "whatever" changes.

Its cool at times, such as when in Amsterdam, bad during others, im thinking Afghanistan... 12 year old girl... not good. But mostly it gives you something to complain about, or strive for, or... whatever...

GO OBAMA!!!! hehe

I guess anonymous wouldn't want to know that my MSc was free in Sweden. No, it's not in the Alps, but many people (Americans) do confuse it with Switzerland. What can you learn just from reading this comment? Sweden is in Scandinavia, extends into the arctic, and is socialist, hence the free degree. And in the event we actually don't know this person, maybe they would like to know the balance of my student loans? Probably not, because Dad did in fact help me quite a bit. Would you have refused?

That comment had me reaching for one of my many guns! While i agree the NE is cool, I think there are other parts of the country that you all would enjoy and appreciate as well. But the the south. The south can indeed go suck a dick.

By Blogger Brancibeer, at Sunday, January 27, 2008 10:24:00 PM

its not about where you live. its what you learn.
