a scratch from "How stuff is changing and stuff i didnt understand but do now"

I used to never understand how and why people would drink so much coffee day after day.

At the age of 26, while i casually sip away into the safe haven of the 2:45 assignment... i do.

This has been a scratch from "How stuff is changing and stuff i didnt understand but do now"

Committee for the Liberation of the United States

According to the 5 polls I've seen, roughly 2/3 of Americans oppose the troop surge, so if the US were a direct democracy it would not happen.

Our elected representatives in the Senate oppose the surge, so if the US were a representative democracy, a Republic, it would not happen.

Since the executive branch overtly ignores all that and uses its recently added (2003 or so) power to go ahead anyway, it's clear the US is a dictatorship. And given the immunity of Ari Fleisher, and the apparent scapegoating of Scooter Libby, the dodgy election records and "oversight", the failure to address the administration's several breaches of the law, the FBI infiltration of left wing enemies such as book clubs, and the like, it seems the US is a totalitarian dictatorship.

Why do you hate freedom Damon?

By Blogger Brancibeer, at Saturday, January 27, 2007 1:32:00 PM

Don't go attacking my boy Ari Fleischer. That guy is The Man!

By Blogger ron, at Saturday, January 27, 2007 4:11:00 PM

I'd rather pay 50% tax and get free school and health care as I did in Sweden, than pay more tax than corporations who are also allowed to either circumvent public health and environmental laws, or rewrite the laws to suit them. Of course I know you are joking, but I couldn't come up with a joke answer. I'd post more often, but it would all be complaints about the government like this, which there doesn't seem to be too much interest in, or positive things that would be taken as being arrogant (which I am anyway). Well why don't I just go back to Sweden then? Because I couldn't get any of those hot blondes.

By Blogger Damon, at Monday, January 29, 2007 3:49:00 PM

You should have sucked it up and taken an ugly one then! ha ha ha

No really I like Ari, something about how he can avoid any direct attack and his wondrous wordplay makes me jealous.

By Blogger ron, at Monday, January 29, 2007 9:58:00 PM

Scott McClellen (sp?) was on Colbert the other night too. Man those guys sure can talk. I suppose you have to in order to lie and make excuses for a failure of a presidency. No wonder 2 have resigned thus far. Bush goes through PR secretaries faster than a hore on nickel night. Booya!

By Blogger Brancibeer, at Tuesday, January 30, 2007 4:09:00 PM

When Ari was the president's talker, I was impressed with his ability to "answer" the questions and felt bad for him.

I couldn't take an ugly Swede because they were even harder to find than hot ones that liked me.

By Blogger Damon, at Tuesday, January 30, 2007 7:20:00 PM

i liked it when ari played the "game". he was a master

making it happen

Been back in Mt for a couple of weeks, snows not bad-need more though took a couple of chunks out of my skiis. Broke as shit, unemployed but all is not lost.

While i was home my roommates set up a fish tank, stadium seating for watching tv and aquired a 8 person hot tub-not hooked up yet but soon. Home brewed beer was nice to come home to as well. I got accepted to a teacher cert./masters degree program @ Montana State that starts in Februrary.

Been applying for many jobs without much luck, went to an interview for a 'teachers aide' position and it turned out to be a preschool. I walked in to that place and a mass of 3 foot littlen's surrounded me, I told the lady this did not exactly fit the age group i was looking for and split.

Working for my buddy- unsuccessfully trying to sell dish network door to door, really fucking frustrating.

good to see all of you when i was home, come visit if you like.

tenetive plans for going to southern california in april if anyone is interested?

and im spent

Sounds good buddy. Glad you finally got back into the school thing. I think its the right way to go. The preschoolers must have been scared shitless when they saw you. All hail to uncle Justin, or I will crush your tiny skulls with my massive feet!

If anyone can find a f*cking Nintendo DS in the stores let me know. I've been trying to purchase one since before xmas and all the stores are still sold out. Its going to be out of date by the time I finally get one.

True for me except the pimping part. Why do you have to milk the budget? And be honest now about your bike hours. I thought you did 12 in a day?

By Blogger Brancibeer, at Monday, January 22, 2007 11:12:00 PM

sometimes it is absolutely nessecary to get drunk and play videogames at 1:00 in the afternoon, and not stop for 8 hours.

i havne't been posting for a bunch of reasons, mostly the videogames. and lately i have been busy with job stuff.

Wow Matt as if every news outlet hasn't already covered that story - thanks for the breaking news! Anyway, it's quite expensive, but beats the hell out of current smartphones.

By Blogger Damon, at Friday, January 12, 2007 8:14:00 AM

ok somehow i missed the news until yesterday and now i'm really excited. i had actually seen more news about apple getting sued by sicso over the "iphone" but thats a different story. my next computer purchase will be a small apple laptop and hopefully i'l be able to get an iphone when my current contract expires in july. i'll be moving towards apple in a big way.

By Blogger Supreme Monkey Overlord, at Friday, January 12, 2007 10:06:00 AM

yeah apples rock, I thought about getting one of their laptops last time for about as long as it took to load their website and see the prices

By Blogger Damon, at Friday, January 12, 2007 12:41:00 PM

the prices are kind of steep, but they do rock. they will last longer than a copmpareable PC too. I'm not going to play games on it so i want a stable little bastartd to run everything else. apple fits that plus its easy to use and has some cool software.
