wtf

The West is so biased toward Isreal it is beyond belief. The bias is so thick that the West is totally blind to reality. If the massive over reaction and bombings were the other way around, there'd be a huge international army already mobilized and defending the victims. Instead check out Google News and read hundreds of headlines that say things like "Israel Steps Up Attacks Across Lebanon".

However, Kofi Annan would like a UN force to go there to stop the violence. Not surprisingly, "U.S. officials hesitated to embrace the UN effort...Sending in an armed force ``may be a tad premature,'' said White House spokesman Tony Snow." ... " The European Union also wasn't ready to endorse the force." So basically we all sit around and do whatever we usually do and don't care that a nation the receives billions in military aid is bombing its neighbor into the stone age.

we spread ourselves too thin as it is. i'm not advocating for helping any 1 country or picking and choosing, i'm just observing.

we are "team america: world police" and it's going to get us attacked again. i understand we like to push our undemocratic notions of democracy around the world, but enough is enough. we dont do shit comparatively for all the strife in africa, where perhaps it's needed most. well, they have little to offer us. our whole decision making system of who to help is skewed and hypocritical anyway.

how about we back off and let people who dont affect us bomb the shit out of each other. or, we can do what we really want, and go imperialistic on the world's ass.

isolationism isn't the answer, but we have enough of our own problems. sure, "helping" everyone else out is a nice distraction, but when will we address our own? of course, some might say these people are so much worse off that we should help them get to where we are before addressing our own issues. hmmmm, evening out the classes so to speak. sounds a little bit communist to me.

I didn't mean to advocate being the world police although it's a good film, just that we're so unfair about it like that Family Guy episode when Peter finds out he's black, we're those police. We should invade ourselves because judging from the past decade, the US is the most dangerous nation, and Isreal is attemping to challenge us for the title. Sure North Korea is testing some missles, but they shoot them into water, only the US and Isreal are using theirs on people.
