5 commentswow, I just hope you're not afraid to climb with that thing By Damon, at Tuesday, July 25, 2006 12:45:00 AM is it missing some spokes or is that to cut down on weight? looks sharp. By Supreme Monkey Overlord, at Tuesday, July 25, 2006 8:23:00 AM
High end wheels have fewer spokes than regular cheap ones, and sometimes they are different shapes, to combat drag, as you can imagine how they chop up the air. The most aerodynamic wheels are solid, but that's usually only on time trial bikes and only on the back since you can't steer very wheel with them on the front. Some have four or so carbon wings for spokes. By Damon, at Tuesday, July 25, 2006 10:08:00 AM I follow no one! By ron, at Tuesday, July 25, 2006 11:42:00 PM I took a spin around my yard on this thing. I'm not used to thin tires, but even at low speeds it seems like the thing can fly.
