The People's Pad

I Moved.

I will be having a little get together, for all interested, on Monday the 3rd of July. I moved to downtown Norwich and they will be having a fireworks show within walking distance of my place that night and there may be a Foxwoods run after that for any interested in learning Craps, ill DD?

On Wealth:
I was using my banks savings account for small change before moving money into short-term CD's, but then they changed the savings account into a Money Market account that makes about 0.3% if i have less then $5K in the account. So what do i do? I listen to my step-mom and open up an Orange Savings Account with ING that makes 4.25%. And when 6-month CD's are paying around 4.4% why not keep more money in a savings account, giving me easier access then even my 3-month CD's?

And here is the real kicker, if anyone is interested. If you fund your Orange Savings Account with $250 you get a $25 bonus right off the bat, and if you let me refer you i get a $10 bonus for that. So who's coming with me? If you post a comment below ill email you the link... if i have your email.

Quote of the Day:
"Where ignorance is our master, there is no possibility of real peace" -The Dalai Lama

Final Thought:
Let us remember those slain at Haditha, our sisters and brothers. Women in their nightcloths, children 1, 2, 3 years old, slain by U.S. machinegun fire at point blank range.

{sniffle, tear} I'm going to miss the US on the 4th when I'm not there for the first time during my favorite holiday. It sounds like a good plan, have fun!

That Orange account is a good idea for money you need access to and 0.3% for a MMA is laughable. My checking account pays 1.26% (it's high time they increase it, been there for six months I think) and I rotate other money in 2 six month CDs. Using the same site your 4.4% came from: why take the average, take the top; which is 5.35%. Not bad, my two CDs are at number 3 and 4 on the list sorted by APR. But you can send me a link because my checking account is getting a bit low so I don't think I can renew one of the CDs this time, I have thought about ING before.

Today I stumbled across none other than a Games Workshop store downtown! So I had to go in and look over the Warhammer and Space Marines figures they have painstaking painted and setup in elaborate battle scenes. The guy says he gets quite a lot of that, people coming to reminisce. Maybe I don't remember right, but it seems to storyline has changed a bit and I didn't see any of the tiny 5-guys-to-a-stand figures I used to have, only the bigger ones. The store was busy.

Come on Tim and Jesse, nothing to say of Games Workshop? I almost grabbed some of the catalogs to send you, but I don't know addresses.

I still dabble. Epic isn't supported anymore, but fans keep it alive at http://www.specialist-games.com/epic/default.asp . My offer still stands to take that old epic stuff off your hands. If you can think of a fair price (I would reference ebay if you're really serious). Of course, I don't mean to impose if you're saving it or have already sold it.

In any case, Jesse, I'll be at your on the third. We can discuss details at your luxury. For all you who haven't been to Peoples Pad. It's Fantastic! It's perfectly located for all kinds of adventures and it's freedom friendly.

Anyways, the pork is beeping. Peace!

Unfortunately, I sold it all a long time ago. That's cool you still have some, I was thinking about in the store, but wow is it expensive.
