whats the lest amount of sleep you've ever had in a one week period? i'm not talking over the course of a weekend, that's cake. i've spent plenty of weekends on less that 6 hours sleep. what if you put two of them back to back and then screw up and don't sleep at all during the week. As i'm thinking now, sleep is for suckers, i'll sleep when i'm dead. when i was younger i'd not sleep in fear of missing something, anything. i do think i need to humker down and pull off at least one or two good nights sleep during the week just so i don't mess up my body for good, but days between stuff which requires me to stay up late seem few and far between. Thoughts?
I think you can get by with less sleep, as long you keep a regular sleep schedule. Me personally, I like 7 to 7.5 hours. If I sleep more than that I feel tired all day. Since I became fully integrated in the machine, my life has become much more structured. I usually get to bed at 10:00 (though if, ehem, things go my way, uh, you know I 'm in the bed at 9:00p). And every day my alarm clock goes off at 5:20, but I also seem to wake up a minute before it actually goes off. The ball&chain is a snoozer. I occasionally fall prey to the morning snuggle(sic). I'm not sure what (sic) actually means, but my instincts told me it was appropiate. Anyway's. The downside becomes the inability to burn the midnight oil. Fortunetly, whiskey is a suitable replacement for oil. Coffee is mans best friend, so long as you don't drink so much the night before that you can't stomach the coffee. There are "other" more tenable methods of staying awake if you want to work on minimum sleep. I'm not sure what "tenable" means, again, instincts. Weather, I'm told can affect this shit too. So can dehydration, lack of sex, late night videogames, CSI, and obesity. Not sure if any those really effect any of us.
i'm not so sure just getting by is what i had in mind. many nights i dream of 7 hours. coffee helps, until i've had too much and then it interfears with the sleep i'm trying to get.
