show your monkey some love

i know that some of you dont read my other blog, so i thought it would be nice to post something here on the workermonkey to let you all know how things are going lately.

school is busier than ever. this is undoubtedly my busiest semester of any type of school ever. i have 6 classes (adv tax, trusts and estates, native american law, sales, professional responsibility, and a jurisprudence seminar). in addition to that, i'm a volunteer for the vita program, which meets weekly and helps local residents complete their federal, state, and local tax returns. i think the experience with clients will be good for both my resume, and myself as a future practitioner. also, somewhere in there, i have to locate, apply for, and hopefully obtain summer employment in a legal related field. i'm not sure that i want to work for a firm (or if i do, i would want it to be a smaller one), so i am also applying to entities like life insurance companies, fidelity, and hte like. fun stuff.

on the social side of things, my golf game has dramatically improved in the last year, so lets hope i havent regressed over the winter. also i'm now dating someone. i know her from jmu, and she's absolutely fantastic. great personality, great sense of humor, really fun, and great looking. so thats...great.

otherwise, santos is doing quite well, still hyper as always and loves people. i dont think i could've ended up with a better dog. he's awesome.

hope you all are doing well, and i enjoy checking the monkey (multiple times) each day.
