Google was
ordered to stop showing thumbnails from a porn site in its search results due to a lawsuit from that company that said it was violating copyright laws. Maybe so. They said "Everything that we tried to sell for a living, they were displaying for free," how's that? I haven't checked out this particular porn site, but if the images are for sale, wouldn't someone need to login to get to the secure part of the website? How then, did Google's spider get copies of the images?
Google plans to appeal, and in the meantime remove thumbnails only from that site. Brilliant, now the suing porn company will get less business because Google's thumbnail searchs are fantastic and very useful for work or play.
What is this college!? I am talking about Google and porn midday on Thursday while eating hot dogs and drinking beer for lunch.
Sounds like grad school to me.
