i'd pay to see this

Retards arguing with retards. it's only fitting they're from kentucky. both sides in this thing are messed up. first the religious side; A) its messed up to protest a military funeral B) it's mind blowing to think that IED's are god's way of punishing america for harboring gay people C) what the fuck are these people on and where can i get some. D) straight from the horses mouth; "The scriptures are crystal clear that when God sets out to punish a nation, it is with the sword. An IED is just a broken-up sword," Phelps-Roper said. "Since that is his weapon of choice, our forum of choice has got to be a dead soldier's funeral." It makes such perfect sense, why didn't i see this sooner?

Now the bikers side; A) they're from kentucky B) mindless patirotism from the other side of the same extremism C) i guess fighting bigotry is a good thing, but these religous people undo their own work simply by opening thier mouths, isn't there a better cause to waste time on? D) this maybe one time in history where if every person on both sides dies in this battle, then everyone benifits.

How can that be funny? What it left me thinking (and honestly I didn't finish the article) is:
1. I have become anti-Christian and often mock the religion, but some things they do, like this, are so bizarre and ill grounded, I couldn't even have made this up for a joke with a bunch of drunk friends, because it makes so little sense, they would call me on it.
2. Although I don't think we should be in Iraq, and the guys dying there are not "defending our freedoms," how can anyone, with any agenda be a a funeral laughing at the ceremony with grieving family members there. That is so wrong.
2.b. I took the soldiers' families' sides on this article, I am not sure I've been over here before, I am not sure fundamentalist Christians have been on the other side before. Wacky.

I see the humor in this quote

"God killed the soldiers because they fought for a country that embraces homosexuals"

i don't know if I could stand by something like that without starting to hurt the protestors.
