Its a long way to the top if you wanna rock and roll!
Went skiing with Rye from the ski shop. He is a new guy but he is born and raised in bozeman and has been skiing the mountain since he was four. He's a bad ass skier and knows the mountain very well. I fell a couple of times trying to keep up with him. Couple of sweet falls, one coming out of a glade and launching off of a lip on the edge of the groomer, flew about fifty yards and tumbled another twenty or so, right ski flew off and was spinning end over end. Other was in the middle of another glade and stopped quick and right ski popped off-in conclusion i need to crank the bindings down more.
Went for a sweet pub crawl last week-one drink at every bar on Main, ending in the bar i work at. Bouncer asked if i could cover for him for a while, I tried to explain that i was drunk but that didnt seem to matter to anyone. So at the end of it all, between the hourly wage and tips i made 'working' that night, I made enough money to pay for the entire night of drinking. Score one for the good guys.
This week I experienced a three day marathon of work. Wed, Thurs, Fri, at the mountain all day and bar all night. Not working very hard, but long with little sleep. Wed-got shitfaced, hassled by cops, blew a .074 on the breathalizer-good to go. Thurs-someone was smoking weed in the bar, bartender bought me shots. Fri-roommates and friends joined me at work, drank alot, beers and shots bought for me by randoms. I try to explain to people that i drink for free but If a girl wants to buy me a beer than im not sayin no.
Tonight is low key, a long day of skiing and hitting on hot lifty chicks planned for tommarow. Finally gonna get some sleep.
Go Giants
Farewell from the offices of Sir Smokesalot
Mtn. Man tells it straight up no chase.
I also had a lil' work marathon, though not even as semi-intensive as Murph's.
Wed - house party for a real-estate company. Contract said to dj "on balcony" so I was wondering at first whether I'd need hat and gloves (durrr.....). Obviously it's inside and enjoyable because I'm out of sight pretty much. The owner's niece kept visiting me up there and I let her burn my cd's. She went to the same school Tino did, and although it was definitely a "nightmoves" situation but I didn't fall for the trap. Bitch I ain't single. Got my kiss on the cheek and bolted.
Thurs - Cox radio threw a holiday party at Daniel Street pub in Milford. This was the coolest gig this week because it wasn't stodgy and I didn't have to make anyone dance, just chill. I got to be the guy in the techie-looking bar-DJ booth. Got to chill with Bison from WPLR too. There were bands playing afterwards and I really wanted to hang with the rockers and drunk radio folk but there was nasty freezing rain that night and I'm overcautious about this new car.
Fri - Two middle school dances in Colchester. Easy breezy.
Last night - holiday party for a law firm at New Haven Country Club. Play yazz-flute for first two hours, then classic rock/disco. 9 out of 10 djs agree: company holiday parties suck for getting folks to dance because of varied age demographics. And maybe because the boss is there.
Time for civ4.
