The monday morning zip

coffee combats any and all monday morning weekend hangover. i didn't drink yesterday so coffee should be able to get me buzzed through the day until i need more around 3 o'clock. right now i'm on overdrive going into lunch.

is there a proper way to tell someone you work with to just shut up and do thier job? this guy is twice my age and everyone seems to understand that he's a little difficult to work with but he's got me calling all these different people trying to figure out how to ship stuff. he's the shipping/purchasing guy, figure it out. i don't know the difference between FOB, collect, common carrier, ect. this isn't the kind of info i worry about either when i'm quoting stuff, maybe i should but we don't usually pay for shipping unless it's some odd arrangement.

i wish i had something more exciting to talk about but i don't. sue me.

i will sue you...in 2 years. just tell him you've got more important stuff you have to do first. or even give him a list of people and have him call himself. it's not your job.

on another note, today's my first day of classes. i've only had 1 so far, but i have 2 more in the afternoon. the first one was funny cuz it's with a bunch of first years. you could feel the fear in the room, it was hilarious. but my next 2 should be with 2nd and 3rd years, so they'll be a little different.

"not my job" got you fired last time didn't it? But really, if he's the shipping guy, and you are the one figuring out how to ship things, what is he doing? Either he does the work, or fire him and take his salary.

This kind of bullshit post goes right along with my morning thoughts of "This is my life". Ever have those?

damon's right, most of the time i find myself saying, if i'm doing all this, then what the hell is he doing? but he's protected here, FAMILY, he used to be married to one of the daughters of the owner and they have a kid togeather.

i was warned about this guy before i even started and everyone just kind of assumes he'll be a pain. on of my bosses makes a bunch of snide comments about him when ever there is a problem. its funny.
