after watching the vmas for only the family guy commercials plus 20 minutes. i saw some guy "perform", a term which i use so loosely that its looser than courtney love's...well, lets just say it's loose. he just ignored half his own lyrics, then horribly mouthed the rest as he focused on acting out his song word for word. it was like that snl sketch where chris kattan acts out the police songs in front of sting as an audition for a video. it was exactly like that; horrible.
and in just 20 mins i've picked up on this years theme: you dont know what's gonna happen. whoa we're so crazy down at mtv look at us what will happen next. puff daddy/p diddy/diddy/p dick, whatever you wanna call him gave away his watch to some guy in the audience. the carpet is white instead of red. the vip seating has lamps. wow, you blew me away mtv. the best part so far has been the 10sec clips they show before each award is announced, as well as the coldplay performance, which if they faked it, they at least did a decent job.
so you're asking yourself why are you still watching it? mainly cuz there's nothing on tv at 10pm on sunday. my tv guide thing says there's supposed to be poker on, but instead its' some softball game. damnit.
i wish i was tired so i could just go to bed now. oh i wish mtv would just go back to videos.
at least green day dominated the show and not someone like kelly clarkson or crap like that.
i feel like i'm having conversations with myself. ugh
We watched the awards on tv#2 with the sound off. Caught the premiere of HBO's Rome on #1.
Was R. Kelly the one you were talking about? He looked like he was a little too active for song.
i dont remember if it was r kelly. he was in the blue, with the bed out there and he was throwing pillows and all.
how was rome?
i liked what i saw of it [rome]
