Ron has finished this thesis, Josh transferred out of the dirty south, Murphy is having the time of his life, I started a degree program I am really interested in while in a country and city I love. As a group we are doing pretty well eh?
Of course not every little thing is working out. While I was so lucky to live with 3 great English girls when I was in Leeds, the housing situation is Stockholm is extremely tight, and the school has placed me in a building with 72 other people, of which about 55 are Chinese. Those who are not joke that learning Chinese would be more useful than Swedish. The bullshit thing about it, is that it's not like America, where money rules and I could definately move, I just might pay more, here I am willing to spend even double if I could get a decent place near the school and live with Swedes, but it's just not available. They use a queue system to allocate housing and the people getting the best places have been waiting 4 years.
Otherwise it's sweet. By my estimate 50% of girls here are doable, but an Italian friend and others put it more like 80%. And about once every hour spent downtown, you'll see a girl that literally makes it hard to breath. Progress with those Swedish ladies is going pretty slow, but I have met a few that have been good fun so far. The Brazillian girl I mentioned is great too.
Anywho, classes start on Monday and I have 26 hours of them a week, so that will take some getting used to after I rarely even passed the 30 hour a week mark working full time for Osmose. Later
damon: POSTING FROM THE FUTURE!
i agree, we are all doing pretty well. i was talking to one of the younger guys at work (he's 30 something) and he told me that we're all at about the right age for having some serious fun. most of it has to do with the fact that we're all going to have jobs and a handful of money from them in which to have said fun. I'm starting to agree. from last thursday thru yesterday it had been a non stop drinking binge and i find that lazy days are now a rare treat.
on a side note, damon, josh, you missed one hell of a tuesday this week.
damnit! tues is the best day of the week. i'm missing tuesdays bigtime down here, though things are going well otherwise.
also i may not be home for ski's wedding anymore, cuz i dont know who's going and i have a brief due that week. so we'll see, but now leaning towards no.
Yeah Matt, I changed the time to what it was here. And Swedes call Wednesday "little Saturday"
