very interesting look at the value of the workermonkeyfor my own personal reasons, the links on the side are there so that i don't lose a few websites that i'd rather not forget about if/when my computer crashes and all my bookmarks are lost. there are many websites i can name off the top of my head that i don't need to keep a written record of. does any other then myself try these out? if i were to add more would any one out there check them? is it some bizare case of "i've already seen them all and there is nothing new there to keep my interest"? feed back people, feed back.
Its not brain surgery here. But i'll break it down.
1) Nobody reads those comic sites but you.
2) Some of the blog ones are useless and or outdated. Some havnt been updated since last year.
3) The sports links are just taking up space. Sure there nice to have, but everyone knows about ESPN. And if somebody wants to go to the Yankees website, they dont need a link to point them there.
4) News links are ok. But just keep the obscure ones. Everyone knows about CNN, you dont need a link for it.
5) Culture is ok.
I would say only put up links that are kept up to date and are good to look at once a week or more. Thinking Ape Blues is a good example.
chump, if you're going to keep links on the side, i like the one to the "second opinion" blog. now i realize that i could bookmark it myself, or even remember the address. but let's face it, i'm lazy and wont do either.
Yeah it's not too often I visit any of the links. Hell, I rarely visit any of my bookmarked pages.
