Only 93,355,000 more miles to the Sun

My car is busted, sorta.
It's in the garage....some shit with the engine and I'm not sure what it is. For those uninformed: Mazda Protoge '98 w/ 145,000 miles on it. I drive quite a bit. I realized a few years ago that I must enjoy driving since I tend to put on milage at double pace. In the event it ends up costing a few grand to repair, I'm planning on instead opting for......A NEW CAR (damn exclmation button..)
And if that's the case I figure I'll lease or start payments on a hybrid. The full-time job plays its crucial part here.
I was hoping my car would hold out a couple more years (which it still might) so the Altima hybrid could hit the dealerships first. Prolly 2006 or 07. My parents both have Altimas, and let me tell you that would be the closest thing that the hybrid fleet could get to having a 'balls car' in thier midst. In any case this week I'll be driving the '89 K-car my parents just picked up for my brother. I'm hoping the hybrid waiting lists shorten and that there are still Federal incentives to subsidize them, because I'd like to help this market. If not, I'll give incentives for them to suck my neanderthal dick.
