hold on, wait a minute. i'm not done yet

everyone must go out and see Sin City this weekend. its based on a comic of the same name and its fantastic. the director, robert rodriguez was told that he wasn't allowed to give co-director credit to the series creator Frank Miller, so he tore up his directors guild card and told them to fuck off so he could give credit ot frank miller. the movie follows three of franks books very closely. the movie is broken up into three segments which are three of the different books. rodriguize directs one, miller directs anothe and quintin terintino directs the third. besides the star studded cast (bruce willis, jessica alba, elija wood, rosario dawson, clive owen, josh hartnet, nick stahl, britney murphy, micky rourke as Marv (looks awsome!), jamie king and benico del toro. the movie follows the comice frame by frame and i've already been able to notice direct scenes taken fro mthe comics. this is a movie that deserves peoples support weather you like it or not and i'm kind of curious to see peoples reaction to it before they see it so please chime in. the actors in it did the movie in part to support robert rodriguez's decision to give frank miller credit. i'm not going to say this is political because it wasn't, but rodriguez deserves a lot of credit for what he did.

i want to over haul the site but i'm sort of torn as how to do it. i like the current look. the poll and the side bar chat thing are good. i like how the comments are like a follow up to each post. what bothers me is that i'd like to be able to start more indepth topics and keep conversations going longer then they do now. short of starting a forum or discussion board i'd like to keep things mostly the way they are. i've been looking closely at the standard Blogger templates because it would be easy to convert to one of those. and they're nice. i'd like to find a good one online nad just alter it slightly but thats a lot of work and its hard to find one that wouldn't require a total over haul. if any one knows anything about HTML and would like to make thier own please let me know, this shit isn't easy.

i just hit the mother load of free company crap. my father is currently working for a division of GE. they were supposed to give each of thier sales personel a PDA to make thier lives easier and make it so they didn't have to carry a laptop around to each coustomer. so when my father recieved 4 PDAs in stead of 1, he just stuck the extra ones in the closet. he stuck his at the bottom of an empty box because (and i quote) " they didn't show me how to use it ". after my jaw hit the floor i took 30 seconds to distribute them to every member of my family and tell him how much of a retard he is. (seriously, my parents have become retards with technology and most other everyday tasks but that's a different story).

this all started with me trying to hook up a printer/fax/copier/scanner thats been sitting on the desk i made for him is highschool. he currently uses a fax machine and a printer that sit next to it. the three machines take up approximitely 40% of his desk. i was trying to eliminate two of them because my laptop is sharing the new DSL connection (long story) next to his computer so i was trying to save space. plus its been sitting here for months unused because he was trying to install the Active synce software for the PDA as a printer driver. just mind boggeling.

so now i have a brand new Dell Axium, 400 Mhz, 64 Mb ram, Pocket PC. its sweet but i really have no use for it. i'm going to fill it with games and crappy appz so that i have something to do at work once i get a job. i feel as though i will use it more once i get a job. right now i'm unemployed and have absolutly no need for a PDA. these have been sitting in the closet for almost 7 months. i was pissed.

baseball has me perplexed this year. there are going to be a few great teams but i think there are goiong to be more shit teams this year then before. the national league is going to be weak no matter how you look at it. the cards don't have as good of a pitching staff as they had last year but they can still hit. the braves are going to win the division just like they do every year until their GM and coachs die. the giants will be shit without bonds but may still contend in a weak divsion. the dodgers and padreas will be better but not by much. arizona may surprise people because Webb will bounce back the the liine up from 1-9 is better. they're a more compleate team. 1-5 thier starters are better, vasquesz and halsey are better combined then johnson. the cubs will live and die with thier pitching, so until prior and wood get healthy they're done for. carlos zambrano could win hte cy young this year. as for the AL, watch out for oakland, those kids aren't that young and they are ready to play. zito, harden, haring and borchard are going to be stars to replace mlder and hudsen and hte bulpen is rock solid. watch for byrnes to be better at the plate and chavez to step it up. they finally have a solid cather in kendell. the angels are going to be good, they'll score a lot of runs but the pitching is not there, but close. texas will score, its just a matter of out scoreing thier opponets. baltimore will be the same but not as good. the pirates, brewers, devilrays, reds, seattle, and colorado are going nowwhere, thier seasons ended before they even started. the nationals and diamondbacks will play .500 ball and then fall apart next year. the blue jays may be interesting but it looks like they are going to fall apart, again, no pitching. its going to take another mirical year from clemen for the astros to make the playoffs, even with a healthy pettit.
