"The New York Giants
signed middle linebacker Antonio Pierce to a six-year, $26 million contract Thursday, and said good bye to veteran receiver and former first-round draft pick Ike Hilliard."
It's about time, I could not believe they didn't pick one up last year, then they didn't draft one despite there being a few great ones available when they wasted the second (third?) round pick on Snee. A guard in the second (third?) round when you have no middle linebacker and the likes of, of, who was that Nebraska or Oklahoma guy that was available? Lehman I think. There was a run on LB's after the Giants stupid pick. And though Ike was a guy of good character, really no threat at all, and defenses could afford to ignore him. That lame end around with him!? That play is designed for your
fastest player, not the guy you feel bad for because you can't get him the ball. Tiki could run it better.
you beat me to this news by about 15 minutes. its about time we spent some money, but i hope this guy isn't a bust. and hillard who? i'm not going miss him. toomer can disapear too for all i care. bring on Burress!
damnit, i saw MLB and thought major league baseball. and i also thought that it was weird that damon was posting it, and then i was really disappointed that it was about football. the giants are running themselves into the ground.
