45 and counting?

with some skill, and a little bit of luck, i may be out of south carolina in about 45 days. i'd of course have to come back to get/move my stuff, but otherwise it could be the end. maybe time to start a countdown?

don't know where i'll be for the summer yet, but i'm looking into places in dc and ct, possibly down here. probably not though. but exams end around apr 29,30. in all the work and stuff i've sort of lost track of timee. hopefully this will be the extra push i need to kick some ass in the next month and a half.

apps are due in either june or july, depending on the school, so i may stay an extra week after exams to just knock those out. but i gotta get on some of that stuff too. still thinkin about u baltimore, catholic u (the irony of this certainly does not escape me), umd, qpac, pace, penn st, and maybe 1 or 2 more. just an update.

sometimes i think about what it'd be like if i went on to get an advanced degree in philosophy. i miss philosophy. i use some of the same thought processes in law, but it's still different. different topics, more constrained. i enjoy law, but they're different and it's hard sometimes just letting go of something you've spend the last 3 or 4 years on. sometimes i think it'd be great to just write philosophical essays or whatever. or teach. but with an advanced degree you can teach undergraduate classes, so i guess that's always an option. but i havent given up on law by a longshot. i think i need to find a better area of interest, or maybe one in the first place.

ahhh life decisions. gotta love them. when you get going in 1 direction you think about others. the grass is always greener i guess (although right now they might be the same shade of green. i do enjoy law still, so this isn't all for nothing).

that's enough rambling for now.

but i agree, i'm sure athletes forever have been all juiced up in some manner or another. i dont put much stake in records, but that's not to say others dont, which is the whole deal w/ the hr record and all. it just seems more tainted right now cuz of the whole deal w/ steroids and everything. and how soon everyone forgot that sammy corks his bat. but there is at least 1 other sport now under fire. apparently some of the carolina panthers are under investigation for steroids. oh well.

that's it for now. tourney time, who is everyone's final 4?
i got UCONN, bc, syracuse, and louisville

GO UCONN!

i wrote out two brackets this year. the only difference between them is i have UVM either losing in the first round to syracuse or going to the sweet 16. i maybe the only person in the country that thinks UVM could beat syracuse in the first round. seriously, watch out of coppenrath and sorentine, its all seniors with something to prove and a decent track record. they almost beat kanas the first game of the season and held tight against the other top 25 teams they played.
