I registered for both Shadowrun games, Dystopia Rising(a popular zombie rpg) on Saturday and the Warhammer Movie Marines which seems fun, also a few board games if your interested.

I have a room for Friday and Saturday night, so if you can make it, you can stay with me.

you know i'm a sucker for conventions. this looks promising as a smaller one. it seems to be as focused on booze as it is on gaming. intriguing as it combines two of my favorite pastimes. i wouldn't mind going ot osme of the alcohol panels. they look good.

this doesn't look like it'll be very big. it's still a young con and located in a hotel, even though its a nice one. i'll try to make it up but right now i'm in a state of flux and can't really plan for February. be sure to bring a lot of gaming supplies. this looks like it'll be pretty low key and if there's something you want to play, bring it. it'll be a good chance to pick up odds and ends pieces and try out some good games. should be able to network a little with local gamers and companies. should be good times.

I would like to start doing two cons a year and this one fit perfectly into my schedule. I hope to make CT Con this summer as well... thought about a hotel for that one too, but Tim lives kinda close i think.

yeah tim's close enough for the CT one. i got tickets to PAX east (http://east.paxsite.com/) this year in boston in march, i'd like to start hitting that one more often, this will be my first. NY comicon was awesome as well and should be growing well beyond it's means to larger than san diego size shortly. we should focus on that too, it was a great con. i can't think of any other gaming con's. dragoncon might be one we want ot take a road trip to someday. as well as blizcon some day.

Hawaii Vacation

Who's been to Hawaii and can tell me what are the things that I have to do when I go?We are going to the big island in February. I'm in charge of finding the activities.

In no particular order I've found these places mentioned a bunch of times.
-volcano national park
-Mauna Kea Summit tours
-City of Refuge (hawaiian ruins)
-Hawaii Tropical Botanical
-Akaka Falls, Hapuna Beach

You have to bring lots of money, cause that place is expensive. That's all I know, sorry, never been.

my new favorite commercial of all time

i love this. the middle finger to the cops in a crappy car is great, its well done that it's a cop v cop stand off. i like it. i can't stand the game itself but i like the commercial. i'm not going to spend a dime on this game but the ad is great. not from a marketing point of view because i won't spend a dime on it but from an it's-awesome point of view it satisfies that.

damn it they edited the commercial, now the driver holds up the devil horns rather than the middle finger blurred out. bullshit! a blurred out middle finger is somehow better than devil horns?!? bullshit america, bullshit.
