Dating

Here is a place I'd never thought I'd find myself in again. After 13 years of being on a leash, I'm suddenly thrust back out onto the market. Sure, I have a house, a good job, slightly more maturity than when I was 18 ect. But I also have baggage - children, responsibility, an exwife.

On the one hand, its intimidating, on the other, exciting. And things are so different now. The last time I was dating, most people didn't have cell phones. There was no Facebook or Match. The World Trade Center was still standing.

I'm not complaining, mind you, so far I am enjoying myself. I'm social by nature, meeting new people is enjoyable (though somewhat stressful when you have small children). To a degree, having been around the track once, already having reproduced, there is far less urgency towards getting into anything serious, and I can be picky. I'm not being picky of course, everything on two legs that wants a free meal is going to get one. I chalk that up to regression - I feel like a goddamn 19 year old way more than I should.

Anyways, I doubt anyone reads this tripe anymore, so this is just my way of venting.
