NY CC

any interest in the New York Comic-Con?
http://www.newyorkcomiccon.com/

its a big one, i missed it, this show used to happen in the spring but got shoved out by another. so they moved to the fall where more people can make it. the nerd convention scene has a seasonal schedule. it starts in the spring and culminates with San Diego comicon in late July. the Hartford one is much like the travelers golf tournament in that it happens the first week after a major every year and none of the top guns will ever come because of the major hangover.

its a good show and certainly worth the trip. plus its realativly local. same distance to boston for a show like this.

Home Coming Game vs South Florida October 15th

Jesse, Matt:

I ordered your tickets, they are in the same section as mine but a few rows down closer to the field. Tentative Game Time is noon, so it would best if we get there between 8am and 9am for a shorter walk in and out. Of course the bathroom lines are longer closer to the gate, but I expect if the weather is nice it will be packed by 9am.  Realistically, Mo is so damn slow to get out of the house, it'll be closer to 9.

We'll need to workout a menu. I'm thinking eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes and coffee to start followed by Jalepeno poppers, chili, finger foods and scotch. But since we will have two cars, we will be able bring more gear so we could do some more exotic fare. Slow cooked ribs comes to mind. Or a a spinach and onion quiche. Stuffed mushrooms. Pie. October Fest style beers or hard liquor. Maybe Le would make us some spring rolls? Matt, you are on pastry duty.

I still prefer my Irish Whiskey, but scotch isnt bad by any means, just different. Variety is the spice of life after all.
