Masters of War

My beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak and slow to wrath.
For the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.
- The Epistle of James 1:19,20

Masters of War, by Bob Dylan
- good song, never heard on radio, with important quote from Eisenhower

Your Flag Decal Wont Get You Into Heaven Anymore
- real country/folk from John Prine, oh ya didn't Jesus say....

For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.....
- The Epistle of James 2:26

Another tale of a dog smarter than his handler

A volunteer dog walker at our Humane Society stops on his way back with a dog to tell me:

"We were down by St Anthony's, and he started growling. I looked across the street to see what he was growling at..."

He spreads his arms and hands wide.

"A statue of Jesus!"

I laugh hard.

"I was glad no one was around to see that."

??

I've been concentrating my efforts the last week on moving and getting my new place livable. Spent my first night at the new place here last night. A couple things going on:

-I didnt think i had that much shit to move. But i did.
-I have a rat in the house. Yes a rat. Brian vs. Rat round 1 and the rat is winning.
-Free strong wireless signal at the house...sweet!
-Low cell phone signal....damn it.
-I've never spent so much time cleaning since after a party at Willi- oaks.
-Walking around in your underwear in your house is great.

I find it interesting how nobody posts much anymore. No one is really living the student life now...thats seemed to be when we were really into it. For me, there is just too much other shit to devote my attention to now. I guess thats what becoming an adult is all about (play wonder years music).

Well, i'm going to be pretty bored at my new place for a while i think. Besides all of the house and lawn work, and repairs i wont have much to do. I dont plan on getting cable. I've lived with roommates for the past 3 yrs, so living alone for a while is going to be a change of pace. I do plan on getting a roommate, but that could be a while. We'll see if my blogging picks up again. All the rest of you are just lame.

What did the rat do to take the lead? These battles could make for some interesting posts.

"All the rest of you are just lame"

What of it?

I think the rat was used to having the place to himself because it was vacant for 2 months. Now that i'm in and all my stuff is piled everywhere, i havent seen him since. He's playing the waiting game and i have to wait for him to get used to the new surroundings. I'll get em.

i post far more than anyone, just not on this blog. a while back people didn't seem interested in my posts, so i created my own blog. i think some of the topics have changed now, so maybe people would like it, but maybe not. who knows? i do still check this blog daily however.

Yeah it seems a lot of us check it often, but don't have anything to post. Posts are rare, but the comments come fast.
